While some people like changing every fraction of an inch of the bone structure in their character's face, I like a wide variety of presets to hit the ground running. While I don't approve of the day one DLC, the game's $50 pricetag (rather than the standard $60 for a AAA) makes me slightly less miffed about this. While it's definitely a solid single-player title, I don't think you can really experience all there is to offer without playing with a friend. While the campaign is rather short, the real bulk of the fun in this game comes from joyriding around the city with a friend destroying anything and everything. Being a GTA fanatic, I was pleasantly surprised by this game. The GTA comparisons are unjustified as they may seem similar games, but SR3 is nowhere as serious as GTA but focuses on being wild and absurd, which makes it an even better game in my opinion. The "gang war" scenario adds a realistic touch to the game, as you are immersed into the role of a Third Street Saint, battling to claim your territory. (Who needs guns when you can smash through enemies with your bare hands?) Even the side missions are engaging and cannot be ignored.
The large variety of unique weapons and vehicles are a huge bonus I loved the Apoca-Fist. Logic and reason have been chucked out of the window to provide a complete gaming experience.
